PTFE is considerent inert towards nearly all known chemicals and it is insoluble in all solvents.

PTFE products do not age, have good tensile properties and show the lowest frictional values.
PTFE surfaces are highly antiadhesive and do not absorbe moisture.

For better mechanical properties of the PTFE it can be filled with graphite, carbon, glass fibers, MoS2.
